Coverage Needed

• Start Date: 02/02/2026
• End Date: 08/01/2026
• Schedule: 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week

Clinical Details

• Provide professional medical direction, oversight, and direct patient care in a correctional facility
• Administer examinations, diagnose medical and other problems, prescribe medications, and provide treatment and follow-up care
• Participate in treatment team meetings and direct unit treatment operations
• Perform minor and occasional major surgery
• Hold clinics for nursing specialists
• Maintain a good working relationship with facility staff, nursing staff, contract providers, and outside provider agencies
• Utilize established corporate, facility, and correctional policies and procedures
• Monitor inmate/resident inpatient hospitalizations and facilitate early release when clinically appropriate
• Prepare and maintain a variety of standard narrative, statistical, summary, and/or operational records, reports, and logs
• Accept on-call status
• Attend seminars, workshops, and conferences as required

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of medicine
• Must be licensed to practice medicine in the state of employment
• A valid driver's license is required
• US Citizenship required for ICE clearance
• BLS that meets compliance requirements
• Subject to thorough background and credit investigation for clearance
