A Psychiatric - Mental Health Physician providing inpatient behavioral health care within a comprehensive medical center in Eastern Iowa. Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating a range of psychiatric disorders in patients aged 8 and older, performing assessments, ordering diagnostics, prescribing medications, and coordinating care with psychiatrists, often via telehealth. This role offers PRN coverage with no weekends, focusing on adolescent to geriatric patients with a workload of 10-15 patients daily in a Level III Trauma facility.
