Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position in a trauma-focused hospital setting, requiring an active AL or compact RN license and recent specialty experience.
Responsibilities
- Work on the 7 South Med/Surg Telemetry Trauma unit of a hospital
- Patient population includes general med/surg and trauma cases requiring telemetry monitoring
- Night shift position, working 19:00 to 07:00
- 13-week assignment
- No restrictions for local candidates
- Uses Meditech EMR
- Responsible for providing specialized nursing care to med/surg and trauma patients on a telemetry unit
- Virtual orientation includes competency-based modules
- Cardiac exam required upon offer acceptance
- No pre-start HealthStream modules required
- Centricity is used for timekeeping
Requirements
- Active AL or compact RN license required; no pending or temporary licenses accepted
- No past or current disciplinary actions on RN licenses allowed
- Minimum of 2 years RN experience with at least 1 year of recent experience in the specialty
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Submission of a resume and professional references required
- Driver’s license and full SSN required for consideration
