Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a Medical Ultrasound Technologist for a 13-week day shift assignment requiring at least 1 year of recent sonography experience and active licensure if applicable.
Responsibilities
- Position is based in a hospital setting on the Medical Sonographer unit
- Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- 13-week contract assignment
- Up to 5 days of requested time off is allowed but must be made up during the assignment
- Local candidates within a 50-mile radius will be considered, but there are restrictions on consecutive contracts and eligibility
- Local staff may only complete three consecutive 13-week assignments at the facility, after which a one-year separation or transfer to a different location outside the 50-mile radius is required
- Blocked scheduling may be allowed based on facility needs
- No expiring certification within the first 30 days unless documentation showing renewal is provided
Requirements
- Active sonography license required if applicable
- Minimum of 1 year recent experience in medical sonography
- All certifications must remain valid throughout the first 30 days of the assignment unless renewal documentation is provided
- Valid U.S. Social Security Number required; Canadian SINs not accepted
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
