A healthcare facility near Seligman, Missouri, is seeking a skilled Gastroenterologist for a long-term locum tenens assignment. This role offers a balance of inpatient and procedural care with a supportive team in a welcoming environment.
Position Details:
- Start Date: January 6, 2025
- End Date: Ongoing (long-term assignment)
- Schedule:
- 10 days per month (preferably Wednesday-Sunday rotations)
- Includes 24-hour call coverage and scheduled procedures during lab hours
- Call: 1:4 ratio with a 15-minute response time
- Setting: Primarily outpatient with inpatient procedures
- Patients Per Shift: Variable
Practice Requirements:
- Board Certification: Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
- Skills Required:
- Upper GI Endoscopy (including biopsy, foreign body removal, and varices injection)
- Colonoscopy and lower GI procedures (including polyp excision)
- ERCP (Diagnostic & Therapeutic)
- Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS)
- Esophageal manometry interpretation and small bowel biopsy
- Liver biopsy
- Hospital Privileges: Must be obtained prior to start (credentialing timeframe 90 days)
