Job Details – Oncology RN Travel Nursing Opportunity

• Location: Greenville, NC (27834) – Eastern North Carolina healthcare jobs
• Unit: Cancer Center Surgical Oncology (32-bed flex unit)
• Duration: 13-week travel RN contract
• Hours per Week: 36 hours
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing (On-Site)
• Scheduling: Self-scheduling for work-life balance
• Staffing Ratio: 1:4 RN-to-patient
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1780–$1910

Qualifications – Surgical Oncology Registered Nurse

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Compact state RN licenses accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of recent nursing experience in oncology, surgical, or acute care settings
• ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) certifications required
• Proficient in reading and interpreting cardiac strips
• Eligible to work within an 80-mile radius of Greenville, NC
• Willingness to float to units of equal or lower acuity as needed
• Availability to work 3 out of 4 holidays and 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule
• All requested time off must be approved prior to confirmation

Key Responsibilities – Oncology RN Jobs

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to surgical oncology and benign surgical patients
• Care for patients with ENT, colorectal, OB/GYN, urology, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and thoracic conditions
• Support patients under plastic surgeon management
• Monitor, assess, and document patient progress and response to oncology treatments
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records
• Float to other nursing units as needed to support patient care delivery
