Job Description
American Traveler seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist with CA license and BLS certification for an acute care hospital assignment requiring 2 years of recent experience.
Responsibilities
- Position is based in an acute care hospital setting
- Unit specializes in speech pathology for diverse patient populations
- Trauma Level II environment
- 10-hour day shifts with every other weekend required
- 13-week contract assignment
- Cerner EMR is utilized for documentation
- New travel candidates are eligible unless previously employed directly by associated facilities within the past year
- 12 hours of orientation will be provided at the start of the assignment
- Dress code details, including scrub requirements, will be provided upon assignment
- Candidates must maintain current licensure and certifications with no pending status
- Applicants must be able to provide documentation for required credentials upon request
Requirements
- Active California Speech-Language Pathology license required if applicable
- Active BLS certification required
- At least 2 years of experience in an acute care facility
- COVID vaccine certification required
- Two professional references required: one supervisor from the past 12 months and one peer or supervisor from the past 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibility
- Copy of driver’s license must be provided
