Our client, a leader in manufacturing and precision engineering, is seeking a Manual Machinist to join their team. As a Manual Machinist, you will be part of the production department supporting the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work independently, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Manual Machinist

Location: Alexandria, AL

Pay Range: $18.00 – $21.00 per hour

Shift: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM  Monday - Saturday

What's the Job?

  • Set up and operate manual lathes, milling machines, drill presses, grinders, and other shop equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications
  • Measure and inspect machined parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
  • Maintain tight tolerances and ensure high-quality workmanship
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and keep work area clean and organized

What's Needed?

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred
  • 1–3+ years of experience operating manual machining equipment
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
  • Proficient with precision measuring tools
  • Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills
