The role involves independent clinical decision-making with administrative and clinical oversight and requires adherence to funding contract terms. The health center serves a diverse patient population with Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance, and income-based sliding scale fees for the uninsured.

Operation hours:
7:45 am - 6:00 pm
Monday through Friday
POSITION SUMMARY: This is a professional position of a highly complex nature involving the direction and coordination of the medical program of the primary care clinic. The work is performed independently with clinical oversight provided by the Vice President of Clinical Affairs. Administrative supervision is provided by the Program Administrator. The Medical Director must operate in accordance with the terms and conditions of the various contracts and grants providing for the funding of programs and projects.
Health center provides a safety net of medical care for thousands of New Mexicans of all ages. Everyone is eligible to receive medical services. In addition to private pay, we accept Medicaid, Medicare, and private insurance. For the uninsured, a sliding fee scale is available based on income.
