Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with a MA license and at least 1 year of home health experience for a float position in the North Region.
Responsibilities
- Work in home health settings providing care to patients in their residences
- Float between assignments within the North Region
- Patient population includes individuals of all ages with physical impairments, functional limitations, or disabilities
- Standard work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Weekend rotation is required once every 6 weeks
- EPIC charting is utilized for documentation
- Provide physical therapy assessments, implement interventions, and maintain electronic documentation in accordance with agency standards
- Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and allied health professionals to coordinate comprehensive care
- Flu vaccine required during flu season with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
- Parking at Boston area locations is not validated and may incur daily fees; public transportation and public lots are options
- Two professional references are required for consideration
- Local candidates must reside at least 60 miles from central Boston; different pay rate may apply
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
Requirements
- Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in Massachusetts required; MA conditional licenses not accepted; license required if applicable
- Minimum 1 year of recent home care experience required
- Certifications must be from the American Heart Association
- Proof of flu vaccination required; no exemptions are permitted
- Ability to travel to patient locations within the assigned region
