Description: What you will Do
- Evaluates and treats patients with acute, chronic complaints and health maintenance concerns related to specialty
- Obtains complete histories and performs pertinent physical exams with assessment of normal and abnormal findings on new and return patients
- Orders and collects specimens for routine laboratory tests, screening procedures and therapeutic procedures, including blood and blood products.
- Orders physical therapy, occupational therapy resp iratory therapy, radiology examinations and nursing services
- Prescribe and monitor injectable osteoporosis treatments and infusion
- Active involvement in development standards of practice that are evidenced based for metabolic bone disease care
- Provide comprehensive care for patients with metabolic bone disease
- Facilitates collaboration between care with primary care, oncology, rheumatology, orthopedic spine, pediatric specialty providers and coordination of community resources
- Participates in Quality improvement initiatives
- Provides and coordinates patient teaching and counseling.
- Orders physical therapy, occupational therapy respiratory therapy, radiology examinations and nursing services
- Provide comprehensive care for patients with osteoporosis and fragility fractures
- Prescribe and monitor injectable osteoporosis treatments and infusions

Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Experience in orthopedic surgery, endocrinology, or spine care is preferred.
- Licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant in Pennsylvania is required.
