Opportunity:
RN - ICU Float Pool
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Every other weekend requirement
• Night shift preference with block scheduling accommodation
• Float pool assignment covering ICU, MedSurg Tele, and PCU across both campuses
• May include inpatients holding in ED
• Unit assignments notified 2 hours prior to shift start via text message
• Distance between campuses is 20-25 minutes
• Nurse to patient ratios: PCU 1:4, MedSurg Tele 1:5-6
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam with 80% score within two attempts prior to contract signing
• Minimum 1 year ICU experience required
• Must be comfortable titrating drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin
• Required to interpret telemetry strips
• Care for geriatric patients, orthopedic patients, post-procedural cardiac patients, post MI, post Cardiac Cath, and CABG post-op patients
• Work with respiratory equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and Heated High Flow
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Scrub dress code: solid color professional scrubs (transitioning to Navy scrubs in October)
• Charting system: Cerner
• Standby requirement during shifts with excessive staffing
• 8-hour general hospital orientation plus unit-specific training
• Holiday requirements included in permanent staff rotation
• 4 shifts cancellation policy per contract (3 shifts if under 13 weeks)
