American Traveler is hiring a Dual IR and Cath Lab RN with at least two years of ICU or ED experience and current BLS and ACLS certifications.
Responsibilities- Work in the Interventional Radiology and Cath Lab units of a Level I trauma teaching hospital
- Care for patients requiring urgent or emergent interventional procedures such as Code Stroke, STEMI, trauma, and IR body cases
- Shift schedule is four 10-hour day shifts (7:00 am–5:30 pm) with on-call, holiday, and weekend requirements
- Required to work every third weekend, subject to change based on department needs
- Float between Interventional Radiology and Cath Lab units within scope of practice
- Epic EMR experience is preferred
- Respond to and assist with urgent and emergent interventional procedures
- Recover patients from sedation or anesthesia post-procedures
- Solid color scrubs required; light blue scrubs provided on unit
- Prior staff must be separated from the facility for at least 18 months before returning as a traveler
- RTO (time off) may not be requested during orientation week and should be kept to a minimum
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rates
- Active WA or Compact RN license required; pending license is not accepted
- Minimum two years of recent ICU or ED experience required
- Current certifications in BLS and ACLS required
- First-time travelers accepted if all requirements are met
- Magnet hospital and trauma center experience preferred
