Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a Dual IR and Cath Lab RN with at least two years of ICU or ED experience and current BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Interventional Radiology and Cath Lab units of a Level I trauma teaching hospital
• Care for patients requiring urgent or emergent interventional procedures such as Code Stroke, STEMI, trauma, and IR body cases
• Shift schedule is four 10-hour day shifts (7:00 am–5:30 pm) with on-call, holiday, and weekend requirements
• Required to work every third weekend, subject to change based on department needs
• Float between Interventional Radiology and Cath Lab units within scope of practice
• Epic EMR experience is preferred
• Respond to and assist with urgent and emergent interventional procedures
• Recover patients from sedation or anesthesia post-procedures
• Solid color scrubs required; light blue scrubs provided on unit
• Prior staff must be separated from the facility for at least 18 months before returning as a traveler
• RTO (time off) may not be requested during orientation week and should be kept to a minimum
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rates

Requirements

• Active WA or Compact RN license required; pending license is not accepted
• Minimum two years of recent ICU or ED experience required
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS required
• First-time travelers accepted if all requirements are met
• Magnet hospital and trauma center experience preferred
• COVID vaccination and booster required without exception
