Key Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair commercial plumbing systems including water lines, drainage systems, and gas piping.
Interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and local building codes to ensure compliance.
Troubleshoot and resolve plumbing issues in large-scale environments such as restaurants, office buildings, and industrial facilities.
Perform preventative maintenance and inspections to avoid system downtime.
Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and project managers on construction and renovation projects.
Respond promptly to plumbing emergencies and provide after-hours or on-call service when needed.
Maintain clear and accurate documentation of work performed and materials used.
Adhere to local, state, and federal plumbing codes and safety standards at all times.
Qualifications
Valid State of Connecticut P2 plumbing license (required)
Minimum 3 years of commercial plumbing experience
Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, safety standards, and best practices
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
Proficient in using standard plumbing tools and diagnostic equipment
Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Preferred Skills
Experience in restaurant or retail construction projects
Familiarity with energy-efficient or green plumbing systems
Ability to manage multiple job sites or tasks efficiently
