The RN - Cath Lab assists physicians during invasive cardiac procedures, providing both direct and indirect cardiovascular clinical care. The role requires thorough knowledge and maintenance of Cath Lab equipment and involves patient care throughout procedures. Candidates must have relevant healthcare education and certifications, including BCLS and ACLS, with certain licensure requirements based on experience.
RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Assists the physician in the performance of invasive cardiac procedures. Has thorough knowledge of all Cath Lab Equipment and maintenance of it and administers direct/indirect care to patients undergoing invasive cardiac procedures. Able to provide direct and indirect cardiovascular clinical care during established procedures.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
RCIS program graduate or a graduate of program in nursing, respiratory, paramedic, imaging or exercise physiology.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
1-year Healthcare Imaging, Exercise Physiology, Paramedic, Respiratory, or RN experience. No experience required if a graduate of an RCIS program.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Based on healthcare experienced (see above) applicable license required. If a graduate of RCIS program, no license is required, however RCIS must be obtained within 24 months of hire.
