LOCUM Opportunity - Psychiatry
We re looking for an experienced and committed psychiatrist to join our team on a locum basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with 3-4 days of availability per week. While we prefer full-time coverage, we re happy to work with your schedule if you can provide a minimum of 3-4 days.
Position Details:
- Start Date: Ideally February 1, but we can onboard sooner if you have a clean file! Emergency privileges can be approved in as little as 1-4 weeks.
- Duration: Ongoing until a permanent hire is made (PD lists August, but this is subject to extension).
- Schedule:
- 8-hour guarantee per day with overtime starting after 8 hours.
- Flexible lunch break (usually 12:30-1:00 PM).
- Weekly treatment team meeting (60-90 minutes).
What to Expect:
- Patient Volume:
- 1-2 new patient admissions per day (average of 6 per week).
- 4-6 follow-ups per day.
- Environment:
- Secure office with locked doors and panic buttons for safety.
- Collaborative and supportive team environment.
- EMR: Ample charting time with Epic system.

- Housing available for long-term locums! We re working on a long-term housing budget for added convenience.
