Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Outpatient Surgery position requiring a GA or compact RN license and two years of specialty experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in an outpatient surgery center within a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, four 8-hour shifts per week
- 13-week contract assignment
- No on-call requirements
- Must be able to work at least one major winter holiday (Christmas Day or New Year's Day) and one minor holiday (Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve) during the contract
- Returning permanent staff applying as travelers must have a 2-year break from previous employment at this facility
- Requests for time off must be submitted up front and cannot be requested after offer
- Facility does not consider local candidates within a 50-mile radius
Requirements
- Active GA or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years’ recent experience in outpatient surgery or OR specialty
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
