Night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM, with every other weekend requirement. Must be available to work every other holiday as needed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) will provide telemetry and stepdown-level care, ensuring the management of patients with conditions requiring cardiac monitoring and emergency response. The RN will be responsible for interpreting dysrhythmias, managing cardiac drips (non-titration), and performing blood product administration among other critical nursing responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Patient care management in telemetry and stepdown-level care environments.
• Emergency response and management through use of Rapid Response and Code teams.
• Administration of oxygen and non-invasive airway management.
• Peripheral and central line care and management.
• IV therapy and phlebotomy.
• Ensuring isolation precautions are followed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active New York Single State RN license (not compact).
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Minimum of 1 year clinical experience required, preferably with telemetry and stepdown-level care.
• EPIC charting experience is mandatory.
