ScheduleNight shift from 7 PM to 7 AM, with every other weekend requirement. Must be available to work every other holiday as needed.
Job DescriptionThe Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) will provide telemetry and stepdown-level care, ensuring the management of patients with conditions requiring cardiac monitoring and emergency response. The RN will be responsible for interpreting dysrhythmias, managing cardiac drips (non-titration), and performing blood product administration among other critical nursing responsibilities.
Responsibilities- Patient care management in telemetry and stepdown-level care environments.
- Emergency response and management through use of Rapid Response and Code teams.
- Administration of oxygen and non-invasive airway management.
- Peripheral and central line care and management.
- IV therapy and phlebotomy.
- Ensuring isolation precautions are followed.
- Active New York Single State RN license (not compact).
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
- Minimum of 1 year clinical experience required, preferably with telemetry and stepdown-level care.
- EPIC charting experience is mandatory.
