Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery night shift position requiring a GA or compact license and strong OB clinical skills.
Responsibilities
- Work in a Labor and Delivery unit within a hospital setting
- Adult obstetric patient population, including high-risk and preterm pregnancies
- Unit includes 13 L&D rooms and 2 operating rooms, with approximately 200 deliveries per month
- Shift is night, 3x12 hours from 18:45 to 7:15
- Every other weekend required
- Floating may occur within the Women’s Service Line
- Epic and Pyxis systems are used for charting and medication administration
- Care for OB, preterm, and pregnancy-related cases in a fast-paced environment
- Scrubs are provided by the facility
- Travel pairs cannot be assigned the same shift in the same unit
- No blocked scheduling is permitted
- A maximum of 7 days RTO is allowed, and no RTO during the first week of the assignment
- Holiday coverage is required per assignment length; must work one or more major holidays if they fall within the assignment
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
Requirements
- Active GA or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years Labor and Delivery RN experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
- Experience with SBAR communication and Epic EMR preferred
- Must be away from all Piedmont facilities for 1 full year to return as a traveler
- Two supervisory references (manager or higher) required for consideration
