A Physiatry/Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician provides specialized medical disability examination and evaluation services primarily for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. The role involves conducting interview-based assessments and physical exams focusing on general medicine, traumatic brain injury, musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions without prescribing treatment. This position requires Board Certification, proficiency with diagnostic tools, and involves compiling reports within a digital provider portal for ongoing PRN work with no weekend or on-call duties.
Location: A city located in southwestern Arizona, United States known for its desert climate, abundant sunshine, and agricultural production. This city is situated along the Colorado River and has a rich history, including its role as a major river crossing and a hub for agriculture in the region. Approximately 170 miles to San Diego, California and 180 miles to Phoenix, Arizona!

- Need is on a PRN basis, ongoing
- No call or weekends!
- Must be Board Certified in any of the following specialties: Neurology, Neurosurgery, PM&R
- Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment: range of motion testing, muscle strength testing, evaluating traumatic brain injury. Exams will be a mix of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury.
- No prescribing, no treatment
- DMA certification available (can get CME credits) - will need to obtain once privileged if not already certified
- Use of Goniometer required
- Familiar with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio required
- Proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.
- Must own personal laptop (NO Apple Laptops/MACs)
- Training shall be provided for all Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs)
- Evaluations to be completed in the provider's portal and records are reviewed.
