A Radiology Imaging Physician is responsible for interpreting various imaging studies, including mammograms and PET scans, as well as performing breast biopsies. The role requires board certification or eligibility, CA state licensure, and relevant medical certifications such as BLS/ACLS and DEA registration. The physician works in hospital inpatient and outpatient settings supported by radiology and ultrasound technicians, providing critical diagnostic services following the resignation of a prior radiologist.
Setting: Hospital Inpatient and Outpatient Clinic
Duties: Reading studies of all modalities in addition to diagnostic mammograms with breast biopsies
Required Procedures: Read Mammo, PET and perform breast biopsies
EMR: Cerner
Support Staff: Radiology techs, US techs, other support staff
Reason for Coverage: Resignation of Radiologist
- Board Certified HIGHLY PREFERRED or Board Eligible
- State License CA REQUIRED
- Residency Requirements/Fellowship Residency REQUIRED No specific fellowship. Ability to perform diagnostic mammograms and biopsies
