This role is for an Orthopedic Surgeon in Alamogordo, NM, treating approximately 4,000 patients annually with a focus on fracture care, arthroscopic and sports medicine procedures, hand surgery, revision surgeries, and total joint replacements. Orthopedic Surgeon Opportunity - Alamogordo, NMAbout the Opportunity
- Patient Volume: Approximately 4,000 patient visits per year
- This orthopedic practice serves a wide catchment area across rural Southern New Mexico, minimizing competition and ensuring a high patient volume Procedures Performed:
- Fracture Care & Trauma Surgery: Essential for injuries related to farming, construction, and outdoor activities
- Arthroscopic Procedures: Minimally invasive repairs for knees, shoulders, and ankles (meniscus, rotator cuff, labrum)
- Sports Medicine Procedures: ACL reconstructions, tendon repairs, and treatments for active and athletic populations
- Carpal Tunnel & Hand Surgery: In-demand procedures for the workforce and aging population
- Revision Surgeries: For failed joint replacements or complications from surgeries performed elsewhere
- Total Joint Replacements: Hip, knee, and shoulder procedures for arthritis and an aging demographic Experience & Skills:
- 3-5 years of general orthopedic practice experience
- Proficiency in joint replacements, arthroscopy, and fracture care
- Preferred (Not Required): Fellowship training in joint replacement, sports medicine, trauma, or hand/foot and ankle surgery
- Expertise in both minimally invasive and traditional open surgeries
- Comfortable collaborating with physical therapists, pain management specialists, and podiatrists Sponsorship:
