This locum tenens position seeks a board-certified or eligible physician specializing in neurology, neurosurgery, or PM&R to perform assessments related to traumatic brain injury and general medicine on a PRN basis near Mount Juliet, Tennessee. Responsibilities include conducting interviews and physical exams without prescribing treatment, completing standardized disability benefits questionnaires, and submitting reports within 48 hours. Candidates must be proficient in METs testing, musculoskeletal evaluation, cardiovascular and respiratory diagnosis, own a compatible laptop, and complete DMA certification training if not already certified.
Locum Tenens Opportunity: Physician Providers near Mount Juliet TN Profession: Physician Specialty: Traumatic Brain Injury/General Medicine Default Rate Type: Daily Emergency/Temp Privileges: No Shift Type: Days Shift(s) Description: PRN - as needed basis. Shifts TBD. Half day is 4 hours or less. Full day is 4-8 hours. Weekend Requirements: Able to work weekends, if desired/needed On Call Requirements: N/A Seeking providers to perform a combination of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury exams. Details: Need is on a PRN basis, ongoing Must be Board Certified in any of the following specialties: Neurology, Neurosurgery, PM&R Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment: range of motion testing, muscle strength testing, evaluating traumatic brain injury. Exams will be a mix of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury. No prescribing, no treatment DMA certification available (can get CME credits) - will need to obtain once privileged if not already certified Use of Goniometer required Familiar with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio required Proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions. Must own personal laptop (NO Apple Laptops/MACs) Training shall be provided for all Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) Reporting/DBQs must be submitted within 48 hours upon exam completion - no narrative report. End product is completion of standardized form(s). Evaluations to be completed in VES's provider portal and records are reviewed. Provider needed: 1 SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS: Proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions Must be willing to perform Gen Med & TBI Own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products) Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible within 0-3 years of residency Active and unrestricted full license Must be willing to complete DMA training to become DMA certified CV needs current home address listed for presentation Will need a copy of ECFMG certificate if they attended school in a different country.
