Opportunity:
RN - Med Surg Tele
Job Details:
• Work 4x12 hour day shifts
• Every other weekend required
• Patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7 for Med Surg unit
• Must have 1 year of experience
• Must be located at least 75 miles from facility
• First time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH
• EPIC charting experience is mandatory
• Must have NY license in hand prior to submission
• Floating to other units required
• Dress code: Any combination of navy and white scrubs
• Work in 39-bed Acute Stroke Unit specializing in stroke patients and neurological disorders
• Provide care for acute medical patients using adjustable acuity delivery model
• Skills include cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV therapy, phlebotomy, respiratory care with various oxygen delivery methods, and isolation precautions
• Emergency response including Rapid Response and Code team participation
• Complete pre-start modules (up to 10 hours total)

The Acute Stroke Unit focuses on evidence-based care for stroke patients and other neurological disorders, utilizing an adjustable acuity delivery model to optimize patient outcomes during primary prevention and acute care phases.
