We are seeking a board-certified Gastroenterologist with an active Illinois license for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity. The role includes4 days in the GI lab performing procedures, 1 day in clinic, and inpatient rounding as needed. This is an adult-only practice; pediatric care is not required.

• Perform routine colonoscopies, EGDs, and treatment of GI bleeds (including esophageal bleeders)

• Provide inpatient consults for stable GI issues

• Participate in clinic ( patients/day) and GI lab procedures ( cases/day)

• Round on inpatients daily, volume is light due to facility size

• Cover in-house weeknight call during scheduled assignments (approx. 4 admissions per night)

• Board Certification in Gastroenterology

• Active Illinois medical license required

• Must be able to perform:

  • Colonoscopies

  • EGDs

  • Treatment of GI bleeds

  • Scopes for bleeds and esophageal varices

• Comfortable with full-spectrum GI including routine inpatient consults

• Minimum 2 weeks/month availability required; full-time also accepted

• Must be able to start after 60-day credentialing process

• EPIC EMR experience preferred
