RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:
• Work in a 36-bed telemetry unit providing advanced cardiac monitoring
• Patient ratios: 1:3 AM shift, 1:4 PM shift or 1:4 AM, 1:5 PM with patient care techs
• Typically total RN based care with no techs
• Use BiPAP, Heated High-Flow Nasal Cannulas, Alaris IV pumps, and Kangaroo Feeding Pumps
• Document using Meditech system
• Unit secretaries available 7am-7pm for resource support
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Must have advanced assessment and critical thinking skills
• Experience with management of vasoactive drips required
• Perform central line or PICC line placement procedures
• Float to MedSurg units as needed based on rotation
• Participate in bedside shift reports, hourly rounding, and daily leadership rounds
• Dress code: charcoal grey scrub tops with charcoal grey or black scrub bottoms, black or charcoal grey jackets
• Weekend rotation requirements vary by position type
• Positive attitude and team-oriented approach essential

This healthcare facility is a Level 2 trauma center with Stroke Accreditation, STEMI Accreditation, and Certified Bariatric Center designation. The telemetry unit is a Designated Education Unit that received Unit of Distinction Honorable Mention in 2018. The facility features new cardiac monitors that allow visual display of cardiac rhythm in each patient room, enhancing patient monitoring capabilities and care quality.
