The Director of Front Office oversees guest services, bell service, and front desk operations at an upscale resort, ensuring efficient and courteous service while maximizing room revenue and occupancy. This role involves managing and developing the Rooms Division staff, monitoring daily operations, maintaining service quality, and handling financial responsibilities such as budgeting and forecasting. The position requires extensive hotel front office experience and proficiency in relevant software to drive profitability and staff performance.
Director of Front Office is needed for an upscale full-service Resort. This position will require an experienced and professional Front Office/ Rooms Director with Hotel Front office expertise.
Director of Front Office Responsibilities:
· Ensuring the operation of Guest Services, Bell Service, and Front Desk service in an attentive, friendly, efficient and courteous manner, providing all guests with quality service.
· Maximizing room revenue, ADR and Occupancy.
· Managing staff productivity, training and service standards.
· Lead, coach, discipline, and develop Rooms Division staff; oversee hiring, training, performance reviews, morale, communication, and succession planning.
· Oversee daily operations through department tours, public-area and guestroom inspections, monitoring oversold dates, and ensuring cleanliness, maintenance, and service quality.
· Manage financial responsibilities including labor control, expense monitoring, budgeting, forecasting, and monthly financial reviews to maximize profitability.
Director of Front Office Qualifications:
· Requires 6+ years of progressive hotel experience, or a 4‑year degree with 4+ years related experience, or a 2‑year degree with 5+ years’ experience, must have Hotel Front Office management experience.
· Must be proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and Opera.
· Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
· Must be able to understand and apply complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives.
