Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Pediatric Acute RN with a current RN license and PALS certification for a rural Arizona hospital assignment.
Responsibilities
- Work in a pediatric acute care unit within a hospital setting
- Patient population includes pediatric patients with acute medical needs
- Shift options include 0800-1830 or 1800-0830, with 6-7 shifts per pay period
- 13-week assignment duration
- Orientation provided every 2 weeks
- Position is located in a very rural area with shared housing options available for $600/month based on availability
- No family members or pets allowed in provided housing
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccine exemptions may be accepted with proper documentation
- Diverse, multidisciplinary team with a culturally rich work environment
- Must submit housing application at least 2 weeks prior to start date
- Traveler is responsible for transportation and living arrangements if housing is unavailable
Requirements
- Active RN license in any U.S. state or territory
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience required
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Nursing required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required (can be completed within 6 months of hire)
- Must complete Pediatric Trauma Care After Resuscitation (P-CAR) within 6 months of hire
- Fingerprinting required prior to start
