RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in operating room environment with 14 total ORs (2 CVORs, 12 general ORs)
• Day shift operations from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM with 6 rooms, extended coverage until 7:00 PM with reduced rooms
• Shift starts at 6:30 AM with daily huddle at 6:45 AM
• 1:1 patient ratio for all surgical cases
• On-call requirements: staff self-schedule 1-2 on-call shifts per week
• Weekend coverage through 24-hour on-call Saturday and Sunday
• Weekday on-call begins at end of regular shift (5:00 PM to 7:00 AM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• 30-minute response time required for on-call situations
• Must have 2 years OR circulating experience at acute care hospital
• Must have CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) experience
• Varied skill set required including General Surgery, ENT, Urology/Gynecology, Orthopedics, and Robotics
• CNOR certification preferred along with 5+ years experience
• Handle heavy robotics, gynecological, general surgery, ENT, colorectal, vascular, and urology procedures
• Float to preoperative holding area as needed
• Required certification: BLS
• Hospital-provided scrubs required
• Artificial nails, dips, and gels not permitted
• Must be flexible with ability to work in fast-paced, changing environment
• Work with Meditech ORM electronic medical record system
