A Physiatry/Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician provides evaluations primarily focused on neurological and musculoskeletal conditions, including traumatic brain injury, through physical assessments and interviews. The role involves no prescribing or treatment, with duties performed on a PRN basis at a Veterans support center, including regular administrative follow-up using a provider portal. Board certification in Neurology, Neurosurgery, or PM&R is required, along with proficiency in range of motion testing, METs testing, and evaluation of respiratory, cardiovascular, and musculoskeletal health.
Location: City in North Carolina, everything you would expect from a big city world-renowned museums, incredible event venues, chic boutiques, and international dining options but also rich in those places that evoke a feeling of home. This opportunity is available in another part of the state as well.

Opportunity:
- Need is on a PRN basis, ongoing
- Must be Board Certified in any of the following specialties: Neurology, Neurosurgery, PM&R
- Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment: range of motion testing, muscle strength testing, evaluating traumatic brain injury. Exams will be a mix of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury.
- No prescribing, no treatment
- DMA certification available (can get CME credits) - will need to obtain once privileged if not already certified
- Use of Goniometer required
- Familiar with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio required
- Proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.
- Evaluations to be completed in provider portal and records are reviewed.
- Follow up administrative work will be required on a regular basis.
