This role ensures accurate and timely bi-weekly payroll processing, audits employee records, monitors compliance with multi-state employment laws, and assists with payroll-related reporting and projects. Assistant Payroll Manager Responsibilities

  • Process bi-weekly payroll for assigned and additional properties
  • Review and verify timecards, tip reports, and leave requests
  • Conduct internal audits and general ledger reconciliations
  • Post payroll-related journal entries (e.g., benefits, accruals)
  • Address and resolve payroll discrepancies and staff inquiries

Assistant Payroll Manager Requirements

  • High school diploma required; college degree preferred
  • Prior payroll experience required; multi-entity or hospitality a plus
  • Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
