A healthcare facility near Royal City, WA, is seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist to fill a locum tenens position. This role offers an excellent opportunity to practice in a dynamic outpatient setting with flexible scheduling. Position Details: Start Date: ASAP End Date: Ongoing Shift Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours Only Practice Setting: Outpatient only (Inpatient not required) Patients per Shift: 14-16 patients daily Support Staff: Includes 5 Medical Assistants and 1 PA/NP EMR System: EPIC Required Skills: Procedures: Upper GI endoscopy (with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder, varices injection) ERCP (diagnostic and therapeutic) Colonoscopy (with biopsy and excision of polyps) Sigmoidoscopy (flexible and rigid) Esophageal dilatation/manometry Small bowel biopsy Liver biopsy Insertion/management of Sengstaken-Blakemore tube Key Responsibilities: Manage and treat a variety of liver and gastrointestinal cases, including more complex patients. Conduct in-clinic procedures such as Pill Cam interpretation, PEG tube exchange, Hemoccult tests, and Lidocaine injections. Engage in routine clinic responsibilities like pathology reviews, new patient referrals, and addressing PA questions (direct supervision not required). Certifications & Licensing: Required Certifications: Board Certified in Gastroenterology, ACLS, BLS License: Must be licensed in Washington State or have an active Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) license.
