Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position in an acute care setting requiring a CO or compact RN license and Epic EMR proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Cardiac Cath Lab within an acute care hospital
• Patient population includes STEMI, NSTEMI, and cardiac arrhythmia cases
• Two lab suites handling an average of nine cases per day
• Equipment and charting through Epic EMR, with prior Epic experience required
• Schedule is four 9-hour day shifts per week with call requirements
• Call includes 1-2 weeknights and 2 weekends per 6-week schedule period
• Call response time is 30 minutes
• Blue scrubs are provided for this unit
• Primary responsibilities include monitoring and circulating for interventional and diagnostic cardiac procedures
• Unit-specific orientation is provided to support transition
• No holiday call coverage is required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must not have worked for CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health in the past year unless employed through an outside agency
• Must be present in-state during the orientation week even if remote modules are part of the training

Requirements

• Active CO or compact RN license is required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 1 year recent Cardiac Cath Lab RN experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) required
• Experience monitoring and circulating interventional, diagnostic, and device procedures; ablation experience preferred but not required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Driver’s license must be provided for consideration
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility per radius rule
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from the past 12 months and one peer or supervisor from the past 3 years
