Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive inpatient care to adult patients with a variety of vascular conditions, including peripheral arterial disease, venous insufficiency, and aortic disease. Work collaboratively with referring physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans. Perform a variety of open and endovascular surgical procedures in a well-equipped operating room setting (number of operating rooms not specified). Manage postoperative care for patients undergoing vascular surgery, ensuring optimal recovery and monitoring for potential complications. Participate in call coverage, responding to urgent vascular surgery needs outside of regular shift hours (specific call schedule details to be determined). Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within the EPIC electronic medical record system. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in vascular surgery and participate in ongoing professional development activities. Qualifications: Active or, for qualifying candidates, actively pursuing a South Carolina (SC) medical license and a valid DEA registration is required. Board certification in Vascular Surgery is mandatory. Current certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required. Completion of a Vascular Surgery Fellowship is mandatory. Minimum of two years of experience in a clinical vascular surgery setting is preferred. Strong clinical judgment, decision-making skills, and a comprehensive knowledge base in vascular surgery.
