Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position in a trauma level 2 setting with night shifts and Michigan RN licensure required.
Responsibilities
- Medical ICU in a hospital environment
- Trauma level 2 patient population
- Shifts are 7pm to 7am, three 12-hour shifts per week
- Weekend and holiday availability required
- Potential to float to a nearby sister hospital
- 13-week contract assignment
- No blocked scheduling allowed
- Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in the ICU
- Expected to delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching for patients and families
- Must complete all onboarding and background check requirements with specified vendors at least two weeks before start date
- Holiday coverage is required according to unit needs
- No first-time travelers accepted for this role
Requirements
- Active Michigan RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience
- ACLS and BLS certifications from AHA required
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Previous experience in a trauma level 2 ICU required
- Completion of onsite online modules with passing score prior to start
- COVID-19 vaccination required
