RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• 101-bed emergency department with high patient volume (>100,000 visits annually)
• Patient ratios: typically 4:1 for medical patients, up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
• Every other weekend scheduling required; no block scheduling available
• Must be flexible to work in all sections within the emergency department
• No floating outside of ED but must float within all ED sections
• Navy scrubs required as part of dress code
• 2 years nursing experience required with at least 1 year in emergency room setting
• Experience in Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center preferred
• Previous HCA experience preferred
• Must demonstrate teamwork mentality and ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
• Required certifications before start date: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
• ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
• Work with Baxter pumps, GE monitors, and Cerner documentation system
• Patient experience requirements include AIDET, respectful behavior, and keeping patients updated throughout visit
• Must update patient boards with current information and provide excellent patient experience
