Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The essential duties and responsibilities of this job are included but not limited to this job description – other tasks may be assigned and expected to be performed.
- Pull broaching / Pull broaching
- Setup and operate a vertical slotting machine to create keyways
- Operate keyway broaching machines to produce precision components.
- Setup and operate Bridgeport and Lagun conventional milling machines to drill and tap set screws
- Monitor production processes to ensure quality standards are met.
- Collaborate with team members to improve production efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Operate a forklift to load and unload material.
- Other tasks/functions/projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certification is a plus.
- Proven experience as a machinist, specifically with broaching machines.
- Strong understanding of machining processes and techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
- Proficient in using measuring tools and equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
