American Traveler is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist for outpatient care in Vermont, requiring 2 years of recent PT experience and a current VT license.
Responsibilities- Work primarily in an outpatient PT clinic with flexibility to provide inpatient coverage as needed
- Patient diagnoses include orthopedic and sports injuries, neurological disorders, musculoskeletal dysfunctions, and post-operative care
- Typical caseload is 8 patients per day Monday through Thursday, and 6 on Fridays
- Patient treatments include manual techniques and therapeutic exercises for a variety of conditions
- Outpatient clinic is closed on major holidays including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day
- Must be prepared to work two specified holiday weekends as part of the assignment
- Use of the CPSI EMR system is highly preferred
- Responsibilities include direct patient care, evaluations, and individualized treatment planning
- Therapists provide a combination of advanced hands-on techniques and patient education
- Experience with both traditional and non-traditional PT techniques is valued
- Requested time off must be declared at time of application; no more than 5 days will be approved
- Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility to be eligible
- Must provide at least one supervisory signed reference from the past two years of employment
- Small community environment with a collaborative therapy team
- Minimum 2 years of current PT experience required
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program required
- Current Vermont PT license must be in hand at time of consideration (license required if applicable)
- BLS (AHA) certification required
- Previous rehab experience required
- At least 3 months of previous travel PT experience required
- Must be able to treat all standard outpatient diagnoses and work independently
- Experience working with PTAs preferred
- Experience using CPSI EMR highly preferred
- NPI number required
- Must have own vehicle due to limited public transportation in the area
