Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Government Site in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. You will conduct regular patrols, respond to incidents, and interact with the public, all while delivering exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and judgment to help maintain order.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the assigned government location and its perimeter to observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns.
• Carry and maintain control of assigned firearms and equipment in accordance with company policies and local regulations.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and site management.
• Assist law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as needed during incidents or critical events at the location.
• Help to deter unauthorized access, criminal activity, or policy violations by maintaining a visible presence and monitoring the premises.
• Communicate professionally with visitors, employees, and/or contractors, providing directions and information as needed while upholding Allied Universal standards.

Minimum Requirements:

• Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Applicants must provide one of the following: a DD214 with honorable discharge, an associate degree or 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
