Shift: Night | 3×12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00) Assignment Length: 13 weeks Location: KY | Licensure: KY or Compact license in hand Orientation: Every Monday Hard Doc Due Date: Tuesday 5 PM PST prior to start Experience & Requirements: • Minimum 2 years RN experience (1 travel assignment required) • First-time travelers: Not accepted • Experience with vascular/cardiac surgery population including: AAA repair, carotid endarterectomy, fem-pop bypass, thrombectomy (carotids) Pneumonectomy, post-thoracic surgery EVAR, intra-aortic balloon pump, TAVR • Mixed acuity unit; can float to step-down • Ratios: Unit patients 1:2–3; Step-down 1:4–5 Certifications: • BLS, ACLS, NIHSS • Stroke competency (BE-FAST, bedside dysphagia screening) • Stroke center experience preferred Schedule & Floating: • Weekend: Every other • On-call: N/A • Floating within scope as needed • Block scheduling: Possible, case-by-case • Locals: 65-mile radius restriction • Emergency proximity: Must stay within 30 minutes of facility EMR/Charting: Meditech preferred Assessment Tools: Familiar with current Stroke guidelines and performance measures for Acute Ischemic & Hemorrhagic strokes Special Notes: • No flu exemptions for travelers • Surgical & cardiac experience required
