HealthTrust Workforce Solutions Regional is seeking a local contract nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a local contract nursing job in Anchorage, Alaska.

Job Description & Requirements

• Number of Beds - 14
• Number of Staff – 8 RNs per shift
• Type of staff:
  • Day Shift – 1 Charge RN plus7-8 Staff RNs
  • Night Shift – same as days
• Patient Ratios – 2:1, 1:1
• Type of equipment – Alaris IV pumps,
• EMR - EPIC
• Typical Procedures: Intubation, art line insertion, chest tube insertion, central line insertion
• Floating Areas: Per union contract if unit is overstaffed travelers will float out to other departments first - MOU, CVSU, Ortho, Rehab or SPCU.
• OT Status: Available

Must Haves: - An ASN degree minimum, BSN preferred - A recent 12 months of ICU RN experience in an acute hospital setting - Independently manage intubated patients and titrate pressors - AK RN License - ACLS, BLS, and NIH Certifications Preferred or Nice to Have: - 1 yr of experience recovering open heart surgeries <12 hr. post op - EPIC Experience - Travel Experience
