This role requires a registered nurse with at least two years of medical-surgical experience who can adapt to fluctuating patient census and acuity. Duties include assessment, care planning, patient education, and collaboration with the healthcare team to promote safety and regulatory compliance.

Overview
Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center is the largest hospital in Missouri and is ranked as one of the nation's top hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. Barnes-Jewish Hospital's staff is composed of full-time academic faculty and community physicians of Washington University School of Medicine, supported by a house staff of residents, interns, fellows and other medical professionals. Recognizing its excellence in nursing care, Barnes-Jewish Hospital was the first adult hospital in Missouri to be certified as a Magnet Hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
To provide the hospital with an additional source of Registered Nurses for use by all patient care areas within Barnes-Jewish Hospital. To provide staffing support that accommodates changes in patient census and acuity. To augment staffing needs during unscheduled ETO when other staffing options are not available. To assist in the cost effective utilization of nursing personnel to promote the delivery of quality patient care.
