Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a day shift contract in Iowa requiring ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, and prior travel experience.
Responsibilities
- Position is based in an Intensive Care Unit within a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule with 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Work every third weekend as part of the rotation
- Floating within discipline across local campuses may be required
- Uses Epic EMR system
- Participate as a member of an interdisciplinary team providing clinical care to ICU patients
- Initial orientation provided for 16 hours
- Must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving)
- Limit of 1 day off request allowed during key holiday periods
- No on-call requirements
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
Requirements
- Active Iowa or compact state RN license required
- Current certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), and TNCC
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU RN experience required
- At least 1 completed travel contract is required
- Must have a taxable address at least 50 miles from the facility
- Proof of active RN license and certifications required for consideration
- One supervisory reference from employment or contract within the past 2 years is required
