RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.
Opportunity:
RN - Med Surg
Job Details:
• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Seasonal travel assignment
• Work on a 33-room medical telemetry unit with up to 49 patients using semi-private rooms when census is high
• Patient ratio of 5:1 on night shift
• Work with telemetry monitoring equipment and Meditech EMR system
• Provide care for busy medical floor specializing in surgical flap patients and spinal cord injury patients with stage 4 wounds
• Care for low-acuity burn patients in partnership with burn unit
• Perform wound care, occasional bowel programs, and light burn care
• Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 1.5 techs, and 5-6 RNs
• Must have BLS certification and Med/Surg background
• Experience with spinal cord injury patients preferred
• Best suited for RNs who enjoy working on a busy floor
