A Critical Care/Trauma Physician provides specialized medical and surgical ICU management, including patient rounds, emergency department consultations, and performing critical procedures such as intubations and line placements. The role involves working rotating 12-hour shifts in a Level II trauma center with a 32-bed ICU, managing 12-16 patients daily. Board certification in Critical Care and appropriate licensure for Oklahoma are required for this locum position.
The Critical Care locums position in Oklahoma
-Location: Oklahoma City, OK
-Duration: March December (potential for extension)
-Schedule: 2 weeks on/2 weeks off
-Shift: Monday Sunday 7a-7p and 7p-7a (please call for rotation on days and nights)
-Call: none
-Volume: 12-16 patients per day
-Scope: medical/surgical ICU management (rounds, ED consults, intubations, arterial lines, central lines), and the hospitalist do the admissions
-EMR: Meditech
-Group: 3 providers on during the day, 1 at night
-Hospital: Level II trauma center, open 32 bed ICU
-Required: Board certified in Critical Care with an Oklahoma or compact license at time of application (not able to consider an Anesthesiology residency at this time)
