A rural critical access hospital in eastern Kentucky is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Internal or Family Medicine physician to provide primary care and inpatient rounding services. The role involves mostly outpatient clinic work with approximately 10 days of hospital call per month, supported by a small census and ER admissions. - 2 other primary care physicians on staff.
- A lot of swing bed patients.
- Average census is about 7-8 patients.
- Would take roughly 10 days of call per month.
- ER physicians admit and Internal or Family Medicine Physicians would round on the patient the following day (they have 24 hours to round). Would also do outpatient.
- The majority of the work would be clinic work due to small census at a critical access hospital.
