Gastroenterology Locums in North Carolina - Advanced Procedures Required
Block-scheduled GI assignment in western North Carolina, within driving distance of Asheville Regional Airport (AVL).
Highlights
- Only 1-2 weeks per month; you choose the blocks
- ERCP, EUS, PEG, and liver biopsy required
- Temp privileges available; credentialing in 60-90 days
- All travel and lodging included
Practice Setting
- Mix of inpatient and outpatient at two hospital sites
- Supported by RNs and MAs; no APPs
- EMRs: McKesson and Athena
Schedule
- Scheduled clinical hours plus 24-hour beeper call
- Average: 3 admissions and 3 consults/day
- 30-minute response time for call
Cases and Procedures
- Bread-and-butter GI plus advanced cases
- Upper/lower endoscopy, variceal injection, polyp excision
- Must perform ERCP, EUS, PEGs, liver biopsy
Requirements
- Board Certified in Gastroenterology
- Active North Carolina license
- BLS certification
