Overview:
Covenant Medical Group (CMG), the employed physician network of Covenant HealthCare, is seeking highly qualified Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Neurosurgeons to join our expanding Neurosciences program at our Saginaw, Michigan facility. Preference will be given to candidates with specialized training in neuro-endovascular procedures. This is an excellent opportunity to participate in a dynamic, multidisciplinary team committed to providing exceptional patient care and advancing neurosurgical practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive neurosurgical consultation, diagnosis, and treatment for adult patients, focusing on neuro-endovascular interventions when applicable.
- Collaborate closely with a dedicated team of three Neurosurgeons, four Medical Neurologists, neuroradiologists, and rehabilitation specialists to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Participate in surgical procedures, including complex neurotrauma interventions, in a facility equipped with state-of-the-art technology.
- Contribute to the hospital s neurotrauma and stroke programs, supporting the hospital s designation as a Primary Stroke Center recognized by the American Stroke Association.
- Support the hospital s robust stroke care services and participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
- Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings and continuing medical education activities to maintain expertise and stay abreast of advancements in neurosurgery.
- Provide supervision and mentorship to residents and fellows, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurosurgery.
- Prior training or experience in neuro-endovascular procedures is preferred.
- Eligibility for medical licensure in Michigan.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to excellence in patient care.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
