Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour day shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM (4x12s available by request)
• 13-52 week assignments available by request
• Weekend requirement: May be every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block
• Must work one holiday per 13-week contract (two holidays during winter season)
• Patient ratio of 1:6 (may flex up to 1:7)
• EPIC charting experience required
• BLS certification required
• Virginia State or Compact RN license required (pending license accepted for non-compact states)
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Proficient in Med/Surg care with experience using Rapid Response/Code teams
• Skilled in peripheral line care/management, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration and isolation precautions
• Charge and preceptor experience preferred
• Must be willing to float within skillset
• Work with patient population including scheduled orthopedic surgeries, spine procedures, fracture repairs, bone infections, and various other surgical procedures
• Equipment includes bladder scanners, hemovacs, external fixators, and IV pumps
• Daily census of 24-27 patients
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2-week period
