A non-profit in New York City is currently seeking an experienced, licensed Supervising Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join their staff.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 6:15am - 1:45pm
- Call: Light rotated call
Responsibilities:
The Nurse Practitioner Supervisor (NP) will:
- Perform physical exams, diagnose substance use disorders, provide medications for opioid use disorder and hepatitis C
- Provide primary care services to a subset of patients, order/review lab tests, respond to medical emergencies
- Supervise lead nurse and nursing team; provide oversight of their dispensing of medication and DEA reporting
- Assist medical director in development of nursing protocols, policies and procedures
- Identify problems and potential improvements in treatment process and enlist interest and support of other staff
- Perform other duties, as assigned
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience working as a registered nurse with supervisory experience
- Active DEA registration
- NYS Nurse Practitioner (NP) license
